I’ll be signing books at the Greenbrier Mall in Chesapeake, VA on June 2 from 1-4 pm. Most of the published authors in my chapter (CRW) will also be signing there. That’s about a dozen authors who write in a variety of genres and sub-genres. There should be something there for everyone’s taste. You can buy books for your summer reading as well as pick up some free gifts. I hope to see you there.

I believe my latest book WHO’S THAT LADY? will be available as well as the earlier books, BODYGUARD and HAND IN GLOVE.

The signing is being set up by the Waldenbooks in the Greenbrier Mall. Their manager Anita is magnificently supportive of local authors. Even if you don’t make the signing, stop in sometime and check out their selection.

A little piece of heaven

I attended an awesome retreat on Memorial Day weekend. It was held at Chanco on the James Retreat Center in Surry VA. and was organized by my RWA chapter, the Chesapeake Romance Writers.

I had an awesome time. I want to thank everyone who worked so hard to make it happen. Denise and Nancy for organiziing everything. Todd and Terri Stone and their daughter. All the folks who brought all that amazing food. Piper for her notes. Everyone who’s laughter and conversation made the weekend so enjoyable.

My roommate Jasmine and I were saying this was a little piece of heaven. Nothing to do but write and sleep. When you’re hungry you go downstairs and select something yummy to eat anytime of the day or night. Other writers to talk to about writing stuff. An awesome lecturer. No housework. A beautiful setting with no TV or other distractions, like work.

Revision is a B—H

In an attempt to post something interesting here, I wanted to bring you up to date on my current Work in Progress. It’s a fantasy romance about a woman who belongs to a race of people capable of healing Dreams and a warrior who’s just been chosen Overlord of a sprawling, contentious kingdom.  I’m in final edits and I just realized that Chapter 2 is an incredibly boring drag!  Sheesh. Back to the drawing board on that one. Maybe I’ll have someone try to kill her or something.

”Love machine” – ”Mounds of Desire”

There are more where that came from. Most authors are guilty of these once in a while. Can you come up with more?

Yes, it’s been quite a while since I’ve posted. I have some news. I got my author copies of the new book , Who’s That Lady, all printed up and looking good!  LOL. According to my countract I receive 15 copies for free. I can buy more at a discount. And of course they’ll be distributing it to all the major bookstores.  In fact you can pre-order it on Amazon.com.

This is my third book but it’s just as exciting at the first time.  I’ll be taking part in a big group signing at Greenbrier Mall in Chesapeake on Jun 2, 2007.  Love to see you there!
